A Pocket for Corduroy by Don Freeman is a classic book that I remember reading as a child. The story is about little bear and his owner and his owners mom, visiting the laundry mat to get their clothes washed and dried. Corduroy gets lost at the laundry mat after the little girl asks him to stay still and he doesn't. He is on a quest for a pocket and eventually is found by his owner the next day. This book is really cute for young children so an activity i would do for this one would be to have y students design a pocket for corduroy of their choosing. This would be more so a cooling activity as is ties along with the story in a fun and engaging way. I would rate this book a four out of five and it would be considered ad660 on the Lexile scale.
